Stage 1: Understanding AI

Modules 1–2: what AI actually is and how AI assistants work

Goals

  • Tell rule-based software apart from machine learning
  • Master the core AI vocabulary: model, training, inference, prompt, hallucination…
  • Understand how assistants generate answers and why they are sometimes confidently wrong
  • Understand knowledge cutoffs and context windows
  • Read AI news without being misled by hype

Stage 2: Using AI well

Modules 3–4: prompting skills and choosing tools

Goals

  • The 5 components of a strong prompt: role, task, context, constraints, format
  • The iteration loop: treat the first response as a draft and refine until it's right
  • Build a reusable library of prompts for study and work
  • Know the AI tool categories: chat assistants, coding, images, voice, search
  • Evaluate any new AI tool in 15 minutes

Stage 3: Application and safety

Modules 5–6: practical workflows and responsible use

Goals

  • 4 practical workflows: research – writing – data cleanup – light coding
  • Verification habits scaled to how much the answer matters
  • Privacy: what should never be pasted into an AI tool
  • Recognize bias and AI-generated fake content
  • Write your own personal "rules for using AI"
